Leeds Trinity University is a small university with a big reputation, known for producing highly employable graduates thanks to the professional work placements included with every undergraduate degree. In fact, 97% of graduates are in employment or further study 15 months after graduating (Graduate Outcomes, Higher Education Statistics Agency 2022).
All students here receive the support they need – in and out of the classroom – to achieve their potential. That’s why Leeds Trinity was top in Yorkshire for overall student satisfaction (Mainstream Universities in the National Student Survey).
The University’s traditional strengths are teacher training and theology, but recent investment has taken place to develop media studies and journalism degrees, with full studios in a number of areas available for students. A number of new courses have been launched in recent years, including two-year degrees in education and sport, and tourism and leisure management.
Leeds Trinity students also benefit from a professional work placement with every degree. Companies include Sky Sports, Sue Ryder, Oxfam, Morrisons and Asda.
Leeds Trinity University’s small size ensures that staff know each international student by name, helping students feel at home from the moment they arrive. On campus, there is a multi-faith prayer space that all students can use, as well as awards and scholarships available for international students.
84 per cent of Leeds Trinity’s research publications have been identified as being of international quality (4*, 3* and 2*), with 10.9 per cent rated as world-leading (4*). The University’s overall quality profile also demonstrates the real-world impact and benefits its research has delivered, with 67.2 per cent thought to have an impact at 2* and above.
There are a great range of accommodation options available to students at Leeds Trinity University – from modern flats with en-suite rooms to budget-friendly halls with shared facilities. On campus, students have access to a library, gym, cafes and a bar. Students also have access to a variety of facilities, including a laundrette, a lounge with pool tables and TVs, and a post room.
The Horsforth campus at Leeds Trinity University is 15 minutes from the city centre and has everything from independent cafes and boutiques to retail parks packed with shops, cinemas and restaurants. Town Street in Horsforth and Otley Road in Headingley are firm favourites with students, with plenty of bars and eateries to choose from.
