Loughborough University, located in Leicestershire, is approximately 90 minutes north of London by train. Established as a university in 1966, it currently has over 19,000 students enrolled, representing more than 130 countries. Services for International Students

Loughborough University offers several services aimed at supporting international students. A free airport pick-up service is available at key times before the academic year begins. The International Office also runs induction sessions at the start of each term to help students settle into university life and become familiar with essential services and departments.

For students needing additional English language support, the University provides pre-sessional English courses that run for 6-11 weeks before the start of term. The University also offers ongoing English language support during the academic year.

The 2021 REF results show an 11% increase in Loughborough’s share of the UK’s best research since the REF was last undertaken in 2014, as the institution gained significant ground compared to others. Accommodation

Loughborough University has 17 halls of residence, comprising seven catered, seven self-catered, and three managed in partnership with external providers. The University guarantees accommodation in halls for international undergraduate students for up to two years. The halls offer a range of facilities, with options for both catered and self-catered living, providing a diverse range of living experiences to suit different student preferences.

Loughborough is situated in the East Midlands, close to major cities such as Nottingham and Leicester.
