Services for International Students

Manchester Metropolitan University's dedicated student services team offers international students career advice, counselling, learning support, and chaplaincy. The University offers free language support for international students in the form of lessons and individual consultations. At the beginning of the year there is a meet and greet service from Manchester International Airport to help new international students find their way to the University.

Accommodation

Manchester Met provide on-campus accommodation available to suit different budgets. All Manchester Met international students are guaranteed accommodation in student halls as long as:

  • you are in your first year of study
  • you apply before 6 August if your course starts in September
  • you apply before 29 November if your course begins in January

Manchester Met offer an excellent choice of accommodation, from en-suite rooms in shared flats to traditional bedrooms with shared kitchens and bathrooms, all of which are close to campus. All accommodation has local facilities, including shops, restaurants and cafes, and excellent transport links to help you explore the area.

Manchester Metropolitan University has a city centre campus in the heart of Manchester.

Manchester Metropolitan University is located close to a mix of coffee shops, theatres, museums, clothes shops, shopping centres, café bars, pubs, clubs and towering apartment blocks. London is just two hours away by train. Students can enjoy all the advantages of being part of a large and varied university but do so in a campus environment that offers a sense of community, security and easy access to local towns.
