Overview

The University of Suffolk, based in Ipswich, is a new kind of university home to just under 5,000 students from almost 70 different countries. With its idyllic waterfront campus in the city's heart and proximity to London, the University is not to be overlooked.

Founded in 2007, the university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Arts, Business, Social Sciences, Humanities, Technology, Health, and Sciences. The University of Suffolk believes that “in a world where nothing ever stays the same, we all need to change, evolve, succeed and change again. That's what we do. Be bold and join us. Together, we'll achieve more.”

According to the latest Graduate Outcomes survey conducted by HESA, 90% of the University of Suffolk graduates were in employment or further study fifteen months after graduating.

Services for International Students

The University of Suffolk has a dedicated Student Life team that supports international students with all aspects of university life. Free English language and academic writing classes are available to all students, including one-to-one consultation sessions. New international students will be assigned a mentor to guide them through the first few months of life in Suffolk. The University is also home to the International Student Community Café, which provides a forum for international students to meet and support one another and engage with Student Services, and the varied calendar of events specifically designed for international students throughout the year.

The University has adopted an innovative learning and teaching style known as Block and Blend, which has improved student attainment.
