BIMM University provides an extensive range of courses in modern music, performing arts, and filmmaking to over 9,000 students across 15 colleges in the UK, Germany and Ireland.

BIMM University is made up of five acclaimed colleges: BIMM Institute, Screen and Film School, Performers College, Institute for Contemporary Theatre and Northern Ballet School.
All colleges focus on full-time further, higher and postgraduate education courses in guitar, drums, bass, songwriting, vocals, electronic music production, music and sound production, music business event management and music marketing, media, and communication.
Due to BIMMs global reputation, (over 1,200 overseas students from across the world), the college also attracts artists from the top bands to give masterclasses (Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Radiohead, Pink Floyd and many, many more). There are usually two or three masterclasses per week as well as many other student events including music industry sessions and live gigs in the city of each campus.
From a survey of students who graduated, 83% are working in the music and creative industries six months after graduation.
In addition to inside BIMM, students have the opportunity to perform/work at famous music venues and festivals around the UK and Europe.
Free extracurricular activities and classes that expand your horizons and build your skillset. Notable topics include Pro Tools/Logic for Beginners, Social Media Marketing, Branding, Bookkeeping, Essential Digital Visual Software, Working the Press, International Music and Business.
Giving BIMM students vital experience and work opportunities in the music industry with companies such as Sony Music, Abbey Road Studios, Primary Talent Agency, Republic of Music, Ninja Tune, RSL Awards and AIM. New Partnership with Spotify signed in 2021.
Although the colleges themselves do not offer accommodation, many have links with local providers of student housing and bedsits. All eight colleges are located in large cities, so accommodation is generally plentiful.
