The University work very closely with key employers on all programmes, linking students to a network of contacts to help them in their future careers.
Plymouth Marjon were ranked the top university in England for teaching quality by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019, and the 8th university in England for student experience; 95% of students find employment or move into further study within six months of graduating; and in the National Student Survey 2018, four courses score 100% satisfaction.
Plymouth Marjon University offers a range of dedicated services to support international students throughout their studies. The International Student Support team provides personalised assistance with everything from visa guidance and accommodation arrangements to general well-being. They also offer pre-arrival advice to help students settle in and adapt to life in the UK, including airport pick-up services for new arrivals.
In addition, the university offers English language support through its Academic Skills Centre, where students can access workshops, one-to-one tutorials, and resources to help improve their academic language skills. Social integration is also a priority, with the university organising various events, cultural trips, and student societies that offer opportunities to meet others, explore the UK, and feel at home in a supportive environment.
89% of Marjon’s research in the REF2021 is internationally recognised in terms of originality, significance and rigour. 55% is rated in the highest scoring 3* or 4* categories, as internationally excellent. 100% of Marjon’s research was rated as nationally recognised.
The results are particularly impressive given this is the first time Marjon has entered the REF, which previously took place in 2014. The recognition will mean that Marjon’s burgeoning research capability will be given a huge boost with additional national funding.
Accommodation at Marjon means a great experience and a homely, friendly atmosphere. Plymouth offers an accommodation guarantee to students studying at Marjon for the first time on the Plymouth campus, ensuring you a room either on campus or in off-site University approved accommodation.
